of shoes that is. I have in mind the breathe II's, the air resolve plus lows, the gel resolutions, or maybe the feather II's or the vapor IVs. So come one, come all! lets have a say in it

i love the gel resolutions, they look great and they feel great too. But when you first put them on there seems to be a bit of heel slip, but as you continue its just not noticeable anymore

    Storm,
I know you have the Vapor 3's but have you also worn the Vapor IV's, too? If so, could you please provide a comparison between the two, especially for cushioning, lateral stability and comfort?

    Thanks.

I favour the Gel Enqvists, but you probably know that by now.
Low to the ground, great traction stability and comfort. Definitely will stick with this shoe for hard/clay/har tru.

Ok well i've owned both resolutions and feathers in the past year and i have to say that they have their advantages.

Feathers: maybe tad lighter a little narrower and a clay court shoe
Resolutions: A lot more comfortable a little wider, good on hard courts plus a 6-month warranty if you take a look at hola bird.

I chose the resolutions and the weight difference is very little when your wearing them. They both are low to the ground

I JUST got my green and black breathe free IIs today.(The ones on sale not the team version) and love how they llook. Mind you they fit about a half size larger than the Breathe Free 3s. Anyway played for almost 3 hours in them, and showed no sign of ware. Of course that isn't a very good gauge. But I have never known or heard of anyone who didn't like their pair of Breathe Free 2s.

Wait so your on a budget of under 90 dollars yet looking at the Nike Vapor IV?

Definitly the gel resolutions out of your listed, check out other shoes also. I use the Lotto Revenges which are only 50 bucks, and are great shoes. Good durability, play lighter than they are, and great support/cushioning.

But with BIV you get two pairs for one because of the six-month outsole warranty. And they look way cooler than other shoes mentioned in this thread, too.

two for one? ... you have to buy the two at full price, how does that make sense? I have money to spend in the present tense, and its less than 90 on shoes.

But that's assuming he's able to wear out the outsole within 6 months. What if he doesn't play much tennis and doesn't wear them out for a year? Then he's paid $105 for a pair of shoes even though he only wanted to spend $90.

BTW, he's looking also at the Vapor IV's because there's one colorway that's on sale for $90. This one: http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/descpageMSNIKE-NV4MWO.html

So you pay 105 for BIV pair (and actually I think black ones - the coolest - are still on sale for 100) and then after you wear them out within six months, you send them to Adidas for replacement, with shipping fee.

    They are not better looking.

He'll wear out the outsoles within a couple of months, don't you see he's like a president of Miami tennis club or whatever. And don't get started about vapor colorways and passionate nightgowns, he's trying to get a good pair of tennis shoes, and BIV is it, either in black/silver or white/black.

The feather 2's are great shoes I thought they were very durable, I put a thicker insole in them I think tennis warehouse has the insole it is the spenco cross trainer insole but these shoes are superb (no Prince MC4's!)

I recommended the Vapor IV even though I haven't worn them. I love the Vapor 3 to death and the IV is apparently only an improvement in stability.

I just bought the blue Vapor IV's yesterday. Basically, the minor complaints people had about the 3's are corrected with the IV's.

The Vapor 3 is amazing. I've never had my feet respond so well to my brain as when I've worn these shoes. They feel much lighter than they are listed.

I suggested the 4 instead of the 3 because apparently the 4 is only an improvement to the 3. The TW review praises it highly.

It really depends on the surface, if your playing on clay I would definitly give the feathers a try, if hard look at the resolutions

Well, the new Vapors do use a new outsole material which has increased durability. I can't attest to the extent of the added durability, but strictly as a performance shoe, I've never been more flight of foot than in the Vapors.

You can always take sandpaper to them if you are pushing it on your warranty time.

lol, great idea, but, the barricades and all those are really heavy and I'd like to think my feet appreciate something lighter. i'm not much of a marathon runner but more like a explosive runner. I run when I have to.

Yeah, I personally would open your horizons to less popular brands:

    Diadora
    Fila
    Lotto

All make shoes that are lighter without sacrificing durability, and almost half the price.

i didnt like the resolve + as much as the original air resolve. durability was excellent but the tread pattern was pretty bad. the shoe was ugly and not very confortable. it's rotting on my balcony as we speak

i was a fan of the original fila torneo. just got a pair of Torneo IIs in the mail. if they have a bit more support than the original, id highly recommend them

Your call. The Vapors are like an extension of the foot. If you want the softest ride, look elsewhere.

I wear Thorlo 3's with my Vapors to increase cushioning and I love this. I will never wear another shoe. I used to love the Breathes, but I simply don't move near as quickly. All the air and cushioning takes too long to respond to my movements.

I still go for the Resolutions, they are a light shoe that will hold up for the summer and if you get them from hola bird u get the durability warranty.

The shoes have lasted me for a while. If you're playing on har tru then it's not really an issue. I honestly don't find the shoe any less durable than others. Then again I don't care about durability that much.

The Resolutions aren't as good as the Feathers on Hard/Tru but that is just because the Feathers are designed specifically for clay. The Resolutions will do fine on Hard/Tru and perform at a very high level on hard
