The dopers have figured out that it's best saved for training well before the games, and the 2 months leading to the games, it's best to back off on the doping, so the body goes back to somewhat normal, masked by all the other drugs taken so doping doesn't show to the somewhat lax Russian doping officials.......:):):)

Just stop. You offer your uninformed opinion on EVERYTHING and try to pass yourself off as an authority figure but the reality is you don't know jack sh--.

You don't know anything about figure skating, or judging so just shut up.

    Mr. Stupid Adventure...
What I mentioned is exactly what Tara and Johnny mentioned the day after the ladies singles long program, EXACTLY.
I didn't add anything, nor did I subtract anything I'm aware of.
I was on YOUR side, thinking the Russian should have got lower scores, and I thought Italy and Korea where slighted.
BUT, Tara and Johnny came on TV, said exactly what I said, and they are the experts, not you, obviously.

Although? You say that like it matters. I hope he was offended. It was a light hearted joke with more than an ounce of truth. For the millions of screaming adolescent teens who worship him there are just as many if not more adults who think he's a loser and awful role model.

You should take a look at the scoreboard I linked to yesterday. All but three of the judges rated Kim's performance higher than Sotnikova's, and one of the three rated them pretty much the same. And the remaining two favored the Russian by a much bigger margin than any of the other judges did Kim. Now is it possible that these two judges are not the two Russians with potential conflicts of interest? Sure, but it's a very hard pill to swallow.

Also one can name other experts that supported Kim over Sotnikova, among them Ashley Wagner (obviously), Katarina Witt (whose record two straight golds Kim would have matched, BTW) and Michael Weiss.

Anyway it's too late to do anything about the results now. What the ISU should do is to reform the current judging system so unfortunate controversy like this won't happen again in the future.

Who is more qualified to assess the judges scores than Weir and Lupinski?
Witt and Wagner's accent in performance is soley based on artistry.
Weir was athletic and artistic. Lupinski was probably more artistic based than athletic based.
HINDSIGHT, like the day after, is usually more correct than the heat of the moment.
Heat of the moment, did all the judges account for the Korean girl NOT performing her planned jumps at the second half of the long program? That's TWO planned jumps not performed.

Anyone else agree that this was one of the most uneventfull and boring winter olympics in recent memory?

I watched the first 3 days, then less as each day progressed, by the second week,, maybe a total of an hour a day, and less for the closing ceremony.

I can’t decide if it was boring or you’ll watch what we feed you attitude the network had. If you liked hockey, figure skating or curling this was the Olympics for you.

Maybe it was boring FOR ME, because I've been watching the Winter games since 1960.
It was BORING really, just not very interesting after the first 3 days.

I waited until like 11 30 to see skiing. They had the stupid figure skaters victory skate or whatever instead of actual competition, of which they showed very little anyway. And this was the last night of the games. Very disappointing.

While on the subject, figure skating is the only sport a victory lap can look so morose. The expression is so over the top, you'd think given they WON, their emotion displayed may be something other than despair or whatever that duo and everyone else seemed to do.

spot on assessment though, seemed to be a dull olympics. so much damn curling...
