Sock's spiral downward continues in Savannah Challenger where he got eliminated in first round by Teymuraz Gabashvili 64 61. Not looking good for the very very talented but allgedly lazy and undisciplined young American who is clearly not putting in the hard yards or sacrificing.

Wasted talent so far, hope he can figure it out.

GOtta work work work, run, footwork drills, sprints at the beach, Rambo hardcore training. Unstructured lazy leisure practice sessions ain't gonna get you nowhere in the cutthroat world of pro tennis. As Angelo Dundee said, "You're blowing it son."

I always wondered what happened to Gabashvili. I thought he had quit tennis. I recall watching him play Tsonga years ago, and basically matching him point for point until he blew a put away bouncing overhead at the net. I thought if he was a little more consistent he could have been a top 20 player.

Sock is just following the trend of Americans being unable to play on clay.

    Seriously, who likes Sock anyway?

When can we get another Pete or Andre? HUH!?

Jack Sock is such a plain, boring name. It's almost like he was designed to have a plain, boring career on the ATP tour. He'll never become a household name, like Rafael Nadal/roger federer. :p

Sock is future American number 1 and grand slam winner he is still injured possibly. Socks good on clay when he is healthy.

Did you just say roger federers name in a good light?

I'm voting for a Young vs Harrison final at this tournament.

Ya he wont bring in any fans really. Even roddick at his peak had decent market ability.

But yea Andre and Pete were probably the biggest american players Name wise
