So whats a really good soft cross string (other than natural gut) that can be used with Luxilon BB Rough. Preferably something that gives good control.

I was thinking of using Tecnifibre Multi-Feel 16. Any opinion/comments on that string?

Babolat Addiction is a very soft multi. It is not the best playing multi available, but it just might be the best multi from a value (price and playability) perspective. At around $9 per set, it is about 1/2 the price of high-end multi's.

If you're stringing it yourself, be sure to plan ahead for any holes blocked by a stiff poly main and take the necessary precautions. Addiction is so soft that it is difficult to push it past the blocking poly main.

    Take care.

I have played with BB (orig, rough and spin) for 3 yrs now and have experimented on hybrids for my crosses.

I have found the cyberflash 17 to compliment the stiffness of the BB plus extra spin generated on the 17ga of the cyberflash. They also hold tension fairly reasonable and quite inexpensive at $75/reel! (compared to BB ~240-300/reel)

My tension are ~55lbs mains BB and 55-57lbs cyber flash. I vary the tension +/- 5% from 53lb tension depending on conditons and other factors. this set up lasts me around 8-12session as oposed to 1-2sessions with full cyberflash
