Interesting, every ten years, some prayer has a dominant year
    John McEnroe, 1984, 82-3, 13 titles (2 grand slams.
Pete Sampras, 1994, 10 titles(2 slams, 3 masters, year end championship)
Roger Federer, 51-4, 7 titles and counting.............

I'm not into the numerology, nor am I a Connors fan...but wasn't it 1974 that he won 3 of 4 Slams and may have even been favored to take Roland Garros if it weren't for the ITF ban?

Thats true about Connors---He was dominating everyone that year and many believe he would have won the 4th Slam---I believe Borg won the French that year--and Connors had just beaten him on Clay previous to that-----Connors was Ranked Number 1 for five consecutive years-74 thru 78---and Still has the highest number of match wins over his career---and the highest winning vs losing percentage in the open era.....

Actually, I don't think Borg won the French in '74. He won every year from '76 to '81, didn't he?

Either way, that's an interesting observation. I really don't see anyone coming near Mac's 82-3 record like in '84 any time soon. Many people also believe Sampras would've won the US Open in '94 had it not been for the injury he had before the tournament. Hopefully Fed doesn't face an injury before the US this year and not win it...not that he definately WILL win it, but if he lost after coming back from an injury, ala Sampras in '94, that may get people comparing him to Sampras moreso than they already do, haha.
