Just out of curiosity Im wondering Sorana's racquet specs. It appears shes using a Kblade 98, it has a 18x20 pattern. But maybe shes using them H/K 22.

How are you certain she uses an H22?
I just saw Sorana at Roland Garros practicing and she was using something different that looked like a prototype....maybe a new Blade? I don't know but it looked different and she was hitting well. The weird thing is she was playing with her normal racket in the match and then practicing with a different one.
I will took a few photos and will show you shortly.

I don't know what her exact specs are, but I was watching Sorana practice in Paris and it looked like she was hitting with a racket that was not her normal Wilson Blade 98/H22.
Maybe a new Blade BLX or some different Wilson BLX racket??
I don't know. One thing is for sure, she was hitting well with it in practice, but what was strange was she then played the match with her Blade 98.
I got close to the bench to take a photo of the racket when she was talking to Sven and Darren, the Adidas coaches to try and get a closer look.
I took some photos with my mobile phone....what do you think it is? Is it an H22 with a pj?
Maybe the new racket will help her get back on the right track at Wimbledon!
    Sorana fan for sure!

i think that racquet is 16X19 if i counted right
maybe they tried to cover the racquet up with tape so people couldnt see what it was
could be a new blx blade

I also count 16x19 and it looks like the paintjob is covered with tape. Might really be the new blade.

Hm, just spotted that the racket might have an unsymmetrical paintjob. Take a look at the area just above the handle. You can see the BLX style white dividing line and one half of the racket being black and the other... Pink?!?

EDIT: Bump? Seriously, with the blades being so popular I would have thought a lot more people would have responded by now.

EDIT2: Yiha, finally able to edit :)

Its totally custom. Not an H22, not a KBlade. Not a racquet that will be released to the general public. And I've never seen another one like it.

Could be the new racket but without a final PJ. There is defo going to be new blades and I'm sure we will be seeing them in the next few months/ emd of the year

Oh wow!!! That racket has pink! Do you think Sorana will play with a pink racket???
I hope so! That would be so cool.
It would be uber nice to have a pink racket that is a real players racket.
Mostly companies make horrible rackets with the nice colors.
Pink is my favorite and I would buy one for sure.
What racket model do you think that is?

that is a really thick beam. very interesting find. Thanks a lot!

Perhaps its the coral wave, with different paintjob? Right beam width, no pws, same string patter.

    PS: ghetto tape coverup

    Interesting stuff...
Previously, she did use the H22, I am surprised she's thinking about switching...

But am I the only one to recognize this racket as at least some kind of 'new' BLX model? The paintjob is clearly taped off, so noone gets to see it. On top of that, you can see the asymmetrical paintjob and some kind of perforated version (blade 98 had that too) of the new default grips that they put on their BLX rackets. You can see the relief (?) of the gold Wilson logo on it...

well, I always wondered why her grip looks like a tree trunk.

If you take a look at her hand there its a huge gap. Shes had a few hand injuries, maybe its related. Perhaps it promotes a flatter stroke?

She appears to be serving with something approaching a forehand grip.
