    anyone remember this frame ? kinda looked like a Vilas racket. it was green, red and natural wood. so pretty !!!!!! I almost bought one on looks alone, but I didn't

    Oh you should have bought it - it's absolutely gorgeous. I just missed out on one recently - the price got a little high. Looks alone are quite enough in this case! :)

    Yup, it probably was - I seem to remember there were three of us bidding on it. I should have put another five bucks on it right at the end. :)

    When I was a kid I remember thinking that was the ugliest frame ever, but now in retrospect, it wasn't so bad...

    It didn't look as good as the other open-throated Spaldings - the Speedshafts (red and blue). Those were beauties.

    Wow ! I always thought it was so pretty! all that green & natural wood, in the color scheme. matter of personal perception Atatu :) I guess.

    The full name for the Spalding Lotus is the Spalding Lotus One.

    Here's my Lotus One. I've finally figured out how to post photos on this site, thanks to wonderful Virginia, who actually walked me through the process long-distance, from New Zealand to Wisconsin. This is a very handsome racquet, wood reinforced with boron.
