    With thanks to Zildite.

Murray has lost 4 slam finals. Ivan lost his first 4 slam finals.

Murray has lost once to a guy ranked 1, once to a guy ranked 2, and twice to a guy ranked 3.

Ivan lost....*twightlight zone theme tune* once to a guy ranked 1, once to a guy ranked 2, and twice to a guy ranked 3.

I think Murray will end up more likeable than Lendl though :) Don't see their personalities matching to conform with this trend.

I wish he'd won the first 4 and lost the next 4.
We knew Murray was going to torture us like this though.
You do know the guy is truly evil.

So, like Ivan, he will never win Wimbledon... and I find Ivan eminently more likeable than Andy.

I like Lendl in a cold hearted Clint Eastwood, Fistful of Dollars, Terminator kind of way.

That's how I like him as well. Tough SOB, but you know what you're getting with a guy like that. Plus he seems like a really intelligent guy.

I'm not sure why I'm not a big fan of Murray. I think its his attitude on court, the grabbing of various body parts, cursing at his box, etc. I prefer the stoic, Lendl-ian or Borg-ian style of player. Although I do admit that he won some points with me at Wimbledon.

I like Lendl because he is so emotionless, it adds to the sense of mysteriousness. For all we know he could be Cthulhu in disguise. :)

    That's where the similarity ends.

Slams played before reaching 1st final?
    Lendl: 9
    Murray: 12

Slams played before reaching 4th final?
    Lendl: 17
    Murray: 27

    Sets won in 4 finals:
    Lendl: 4
    Murray: 1
