what a difference! strung up my becker pro on a 5 today. the circular clamps were a little weird and the tension button was way small but overall the experience was great. looking forward to stringing some more on it. what are you guys' thought about the progression of the Star through the generations? better now or better then?

    zapvor,

Since I own a Star 5 my reply will be a bit biased, I love my stringer. I have strung on a Star 4, Star 3 and started stringing on a Multilec back in 1981.... I liked the clamps better on the Star 4 then my Star 5, but I have gotten very use to the circular clamps now and do not even give it a thought. But since you asked, I like the overall layout of the Star 5 better, but I would trade out the clamps for the ones on the Star four.

I wish my Star 5 had adjustable pulling speeds and 5-tooth clamps, but otherwise it's a gem.
