Who's excited? Pretty sure Novak is. 2015 please hurry. Heard Luke could be the new "bad guy". Seems pretty interesting.

There are several books that take place after Episode XI. Luke can't be the new bad guy, as he is the one that establishes the new Jedi order, since he was the only one remaining until Lea and Han had a child, who also has the ability to use the Force.

Why continue the Star Wars film series chornoligically? Why not use it instead as an opprtunity for a spin-off? Maybe taking place thousands of years before or after the main series.

I would cry manly tears of joy if they decided to adapt Knights of the Old Republic into a film

I read that was one of the options. But I think the game developer would have something to say if the films end up tarnishing the game's overall image?

Won't the original cast members be too old to star in it? They must all be in their 60's/70's by now.

Wasn't Jeff Bridges too old to play C.L.U. in Tron: Legacy?

They did that themselves with the Old Republic. Regardless, I think KOTOR 1 and 2 were great pieces of story-telling that can open up easy opportunities for adaptation. Three more expansive films revolving around that narrow period with KOTOR and KOTOR 2 would be a good refresher to the film series without making it derivative.

I would do the same if they made a Force Unleashed trilogy. Sadly once Haden Blackman left Lucasarts the likelihood of a TFU movie went with him.

Rushing the release of KOTOR2 left it with loads of loose ends.

I admit KOTOR 2 definitely seemed rushed to meet the release date of that years Christmas. However, if you take the time to download the mods that restore cut content, then you'll be treated to a fantastic and an arguably even more immersive experience than KOTOR was.

The Old Republic's story was trash imo and had no business stomping on the mythology of the KOTOR series.

The 3 most exciting stories are 7, 8, and 9. What luck!!!

One person who might have a clue is Dale Pollock, author of the unauthorized biography Skywalking: The Life And Films Of George Lucas. In a chat with TheWrap, Pollock revealed that he was able to read the outlines to Episodes VII, VIII and IX, but had to sign a confidentiality agreement preventing him from revealing the specifics of their contents.

"It was originally a 12-part saga," recalled Pollock. "The three most exciting stories were 7, 8 and 9. They had propulsive action, really interesting new worlds, new characters. I remember thinking, 'I want to see these 3 movies.'" He added that an older version of Luke Skywalker appears in the final trilogy. We'll see if any of these elements remain in the final version of the third trilogy.

Revenge of the Sith sucked. In fact, Episodes 1, 2 and 3 all sucked, save for Liam Neeson kicking ass in Episode 1 and the Podracing videogame that was a spin-off from Episode 1. That game pwn'd.

Thing is, part of the reason the first 3 films were good, and by a similar note the second 3 films were terrible, is because of how much control George Lucas had. George Lucas met a lot of resistance in getting the first 1 published and into cinemas. With the 2nd two he handed over creative control to other people.

He didn't write the screenplay, I believe, for Empire and Jedi, but more importantly, he didn't direct them.

So I would give 7, 8 and 9 a chance of being good. If it was George making them again, then yeah, they would suck. But because he's effectively handing creative control of the franchise over to other people, then you might see quality movies, with well-written stories.

Maybe they should just reboot the franchise and make like Battlestar Galactica and change Luke Skywalker into a girl. Or is the world not ready for an incestuous lesbian kiss on the big screen?

I think there should be a Nalbandian System in the new movies.

I found myself very qquickly wishing that Liam Neeson had just hacked binks down with his lightsaber in that opening scene of his.
There was so much promise from the new 3, I wonder if they'll all make a re release into the cinema now in 3d.I had to sit through phantom ****** earlier this year, i just really hope that hey do make it worthwhile and release Empire and ROTJ into the cinema again.

Nooooooo 1, 2 and 3 were bad enough.

Why tamper with the classics. It's like Jaws the Revenge and Rocky V all over again.
