    Hi,

Is it possible to do a string job by doing the crosses first instead of the mains? I tried once with my head prestige and the head shaped was warped. Is this warping racquet specific or is it going to happen in general? Thanks.

It's going to happen in general because of the mechanics of the geometry of the head, the fact that there are more crosses than mains and the fact that the mains when weaved will have significantly lower tension due to friction than if you strung them first without having to weave the thru the cross strings.

Basically you are going to weaken your frame considerably and break it very soon if you start with the cross strings. The longer mains distributes weight more also. The warping shouldn't happen in a way that it is obvious even though all frames reshape during stringing.
