Does anyone know what racquet Radek Stepanek used this past weekend at the Brisbane tournament? It is all angles. I have never seen a racquet like this.

Yep. Same Bosworth Tour 96 that he has been using since this time last year - just in white.

You can buy the exact same stick - even tuned to Steps same specs if you'd like. Read all about it:

    $399.95.

They match the stick to fit the player and with Radek, they did a great job.

    That's a phuckin' ugly-lookin' stick!

You have to go through and enter your own specs. Beware though, I tried it..and it doesn't work. In the end, what was sent was empty. Too bad, I was interested in buying it....

My bad...it's always in the eyes of the beholder--no accounting for 'personal taste' I suppose; (sincere) 'bully' for you Meaghan; enjoy!

That'll be 300 Euros please...all major credit cards (minus AmEx) accepted, thank you.. (wink)

Ive got the Vantage its very similar in performance but I suppose less ugly.

Still I have a thing for ugly frames.......its not unlike the Bosworth

It was top of the line when the pt630 was about mid 90s. It does what that racket does but serves better. It got discontinued cos it was ugly i think.

It has the volkl bridge, the aero of Babolat and the slightly elongated head of Yonex, it was before its time and honestly a joy to play with. Twaron fibres make it one of the most feeling sticks made, all this as well as austrian design!
Mine is mint and a supperb racket just real hard to get afew the same quality.

Also there are few rackets about today that have old skool feel, so forget about looks and splash the cash, I would rather play with Bosworth or Vantage now than keep looking on the bay for another pt600 or ps85 or graphite pro or whatever..............

this was said on an earlier Bosworth site and it reminds me of how i feel with Vantage.....

"Prior to the Bosworth racket, I played with the nCode 90 and the Head Prestige Mid Plus. The Bosworth is the only racket that gives me an incredibly consistent response. With the Prestige, I never felt like my groundstrokes locked in 100%. There was always some gray area as to where the ball would end up. The nCode 90 is more like the Bosworth, but incredibly demanding. The Bosworth is 96in. and gives me the best of both worlds. Consistent response, but also the ability to hit off center and stay in the point"

^^^^^ honestly they feel weird, solid, no frills but very very good. IMO it is all about bringing my own game and not worrying about my racket.

Does everything well like a pro staff. If ou got a crap serve you'll still have a poo serve if you know what i mean. Its good to be good and not worry.....

Yup, that's the Pyramid Tour - just as Meaghan noted, it was ahead of its time, incorporated a lot of features that others used, and probably bombed at retail. Guillaume Raoux used to play this frame on tour; I used it for a long time, too. A very nice, very odd-looking racquet. :)
