They'll have some tough opponents, but I'm for them all the way!

(Very pleased ESPN is showing the final live. (I think it's live!))

Same here. It would be great to see Sam and Lisa win. Expecially since Sam is Australian.

They've really gotta take it to the Chinese women. The Chinese have everything to gain and will very likely be impressively fearless.

Ugh! I see from the AO web site they've already started.

ESPN is reviewing matches already played...

Raymond & Stosur are S&Ving, constantly attacking. Raymond couldn't stand in the wrong place if she tried, and Stosur's overhead is gold-plated. Chinese really know what they're doing, but are baseliners and are underpowered.

Thanks, Yours!05. At the USO, they both volleyed so well. Lisa is a master at it. Great to hear Sam's overhead is working so well. She hit excellent ones against Hingis the other night.

Not really, Stosur and Raymond weren't attacking as much and the chinese played a little better.

Stosur and Raymond should win this set.

Stosur so nervous she'e finessing volleys in(to the net) instead of thwacking them. Marcos would NOT act like this!

Man! I was afraid that Sam would get nervous. She did that in the USO final, and at this AO she's getting that much more attention and press coverage and fans and friends and all the rest of it...

Stosur pushes her last volley into the net - for today. All credit to the Chinese. They forced them to play THEIR game. They were tougher, much.

Rats! I had hoped that Sam's bigtime match with Hingis had given her some added oomph and confidence going into this final.

I really didn't think the Chinese could actually pull it out. Kudos to them for keeping it together.

Stosur's volleys just went off in the last set. She was just poking them back with no real force.
But full credit to her, making the final of the womens dubs as well as 4th round? (i think it was) in the singles, and is still in the mixed, up to the semis.

Wow. That is impressive. Considering how far the country's tennis program has come in a few short years. It wasn't that many years ago that 'racket sport' meant badminton and ping pong in China.

Anyone see stosur smashing her prince o3 white racket?

There was bits and pieces flying off her racket everywhere!

Bad choke from raymond and stosur, they both lost all ability to volley correctly in the 3rd set.

Beaten by chinese, oh the shame.
