Would a cross between alu bb rough and vs gut be a good combination for this racquet or would the gut be better alone (assuming no concerns about money). What tensions should I use? If there are other recomended strings please suggest them and the best tensions for them.

a hybrid would be cheaper, and plus roger federer uses the same set up. If you've used natural gut in a full set up and you liked it, then just stick with it. Its always fun to experiment anyways.

i have alupower mains and biphase crosses on my n6.1 tour 90...i like it a lot, doesnt feel to harsh on my arm (im pretty sensitive to poly) and plays very well. i can only imagine that gut will be better. but if you want federer's setup, you would have to go w/ gut mains and alupower crosses

I use BB ALU Power Rough on the mains at 53 lbs. and VS gut on the crosses at 55 lbs. It's a very nice setup, but I think I'm going to change it around with the other half of the sting sets I have.

Just string it loose, the upper hoop in these racquets are really stiff.

What will be the playing difference if gut mains are used instead of crosses?

NXT Tour 17g on the mains and Signum Pro Poly Plasma 17g on the crosses at 55lbs. I don't know how to describe it other than WOW. Fairly expensive, but a lot cheaper than a BB Alu Rough and VS Gut. I hit with this setup on a Hypercarbon Tour 90, but I'm sure it'll feel similar on the nCode.

ALU Power mains and Gut Crosses is a total waste of money.
The crosses will only make up 20% of the stringbed's feel and performance and gut is EXPENSIVE. You might not even be able to tell full poly from a gut crosses setup.

    Here are some better setups.

    Cheap Natural Gut:
Babolat Tonic+ Ball Feel or Klip Legend or BDE Performance or Bow Brand Professional 16 mains and Gosen OG Sheep Micro 16 crosses.

Cheap, more playable Big Banger (less durable)
Luxilon ALU-Power 16L mains and Forten Sweet Synthetic Gut 16 crosses
