What difference does string pattern make besides spin and durability? (I am assuming higher density = less spin and more durability.)

All other variables being equal, it will have less power and more control.

A dense patterned frame will have higher stringbed stiffness reading on a RDC strung at the same tension as an open patterned racquet. That's why it will have less power and more control.
