I have an 8 year old girl. What type of string set up would you recommend.
She is 4 foot 5 and 62 pounds. She uses her body well. She does attempt to come to net sometimes. She wants to be an all court player. Thanks in advance

I would definitely keep the string choices to synthetic gut or a multifilament. Please, no polys! Start in the middle tension and go up or down depending on if she needs more power (lower) or more control (higher).

    Best of luck!

Try natural gut/synthetic gut hybrid, such as Babolat VS Syn Gut, or try full natural gut and see how it lasts. Multis can be stiff and dull as much as polys, absolutely no reason to use them if natural gut lasts for like a month or more.

Good ol' syngut will be just fine. Stick with the softer ones like Sweet 16, Head PPS, Wilson Extreme, Gamma and the like. PSGD and OGSM may be a bit stiff.
For more durability, there is always Leoina 66.

I went with a 18 gauge syn gut with my son when he was 7 and once he started to break them in less a month i went to a 17 gauge. He preferred the multis once he turned 9.

Good idea. Head PPS18 would be perfect.

Try a comfort oriented synthetic gut such as Wilson hollow core. NO POLYS or stiff strings at all. All you'd do is take years off her tennis life.
