Anybody here have a string sponsorship as opposed to a racket sponsorship?

I think that you get a company sponsorship and then everything that company makes is sold to you at a discount. It is not individual items that you get sponsored for.

Hey guys just give them a phone call or an email, some times things are a lot easier than you would think, ask and find out what they can do for you or what you need to do.

It's easy and the people are really nice.

Thanks Jacksonvile, and yes I was referring to stand-alone string companies like BowBrand, BDE, Ashaway, Luxilon, and many others.

    Thanks, Court Jester.

Whoa! By "Top 400" do they mean in the nation? I would think so, because if it was section or even district, that would be like everybody.

I emailed Bow Brand about a year ago and the very nice lady said just to send in a resume, list of results and accomplishments. I specified USTA tournaments, not pro, and she said that was fine. Alas I didn't send it in and now I've switched to VS Team - nothing to do with Bow Brand's quality just easier and more accessible.

You have to be top 5 in your country for a Luxilon sponsorship. Polystar and Signum Pro is looking to sponsor players in the USA. Just contact the US seller on their website tennis string man dot com and they may be able to hook you up. Babolat is easy to get a reduced pricing sponsorship. Most mfg's will give you reduced pricing if you are top 200 in the USA, and free if you are top 10.

For free? If you have any, do you think you can spare me a pack of alu power. I want to give it a try. Poly gut would be fine too. :)

You can email them off their website. I am sponsored by PolyStar, great poly string.

You forgot to mention that your father is the importer of the string. Not so hard to get a sponsorship when facing that situation.

You have to be ranked in the USTA top 100 and you have a shot. Google PolyStar.

You absolutely right Stan. Some parents sponsor they own kids. I mean it's understandable, but... Would you sponsor your own son or daughter?
Whatever... but I think Polystar are fine strings and I wish they would be have a better presentation in US than the current one. They even popular in Eastern Europe.
