Hi. Jason mentioned that you used full bed poly in the play test of the new Steam 99 (not the S ). I am assuming that it was 4G. Do you think this racquet need full poly, and if not, what hybrid recommendations would you have. I was thinking of a gut/poly. Thanks in advance.

The regular Steam 99 doesn't necessarily have to have a full bed of polyester. It depends a lot on your swing speed and swing style. If you take full, fast cuts at the ball, a full poly might still be a good idea, but definitely a hybrid would work. A full bed of multi or natural gut might be too powerful if you use the same swing style.

But yes, I think a gut/poly hybrid would work well in the Steam 99.
