Quick Question. I was planning on stringing VS gut in the mains and Big Banger in the crosses and I was wondering if I could string it at more then a three pound difference. I was planning on stringing the gut at 58 pounds and the lux in the crosses at 53. Is this o.k.?

    Thanks for the help

5 lbs. difference sounds right for that setup, but you'll probably get too much power overall. I'd go up two lbs. in both directions, 2 lbs. more if you have a powerful racquet.

Yes, that's fine, I do myself co-poly/Syn Gut @ 43/48 and its fine the difference of 5 lbs.

    Have fun.

Im a 2lb difference type of person...

5 should be fine but it may require some fine tuning to ultimately get your perfect setup - not sure how fast you break NG but keep in mind the BB will die very quickly and NG holds tension so well, might not be a bad idea to stick closer to 2 or 3 lb difference due to the poly losing tension faster than NG

    Just my opinion

thanks for the help. I was only planning on stringing the BB at 53 because luxilon reccomends that you string it 10% lower then usual.
