    Hi All,

I am 3.5 player, I play a alot of doubles and sometimes singles. I would like to know which brand and type of strings are good for a player like me who play 10- to 15 hours of tennis a week. I also want a recommendation on the tension type I should use, as I need a little more control on my shots, I can generate some power but cannot control the ball so much. I am good baseline player but my current string dont give me so much of pop and spin and also volleys are horrible with the current string.

    I have a K-95 16*18.

Please recommend me a string and tension type which will suit my game. Also a string which can last long and dont move a lot.

    Thanks in Advance

I would just use a cheap synthetic gut.

Unless you're going to string it yourself, you need to tell us what strings are available at the store you have in mind, first.

With the information given, I would suggest trying a poly/Rip Control hybrid. Good control from both the poly and the Rip Control. Minimal string movement with stiffer strings in the mains. Awesome feel (which generates the pop). If you are a big hitter, this set-up is good for you - it prevents you from hitting long most of the time.

Of course a nice fresh set of gut. Mine I strung it at 65lb and it gives me tons of control. 17G also has tons of power,, nicely blend.

Yes i think a hybrid with poly and a cheap synthetic would do the trick. I'd say Signum Pro Poly Plasma with something like Gosen Synthetic or Prince Synthetic. Tension-wise, i'd go for around 55lb for the mains and 58lbs for the crosses.

    Just a recommendation.
