Does anyone recommend this tool for straightening strings when finishing a string job?

    Thanks/Don

Yes, absolutely. I use it nearly every time after I pull the racquet off the machine. Works well.

I could never get it to work very well. Perhaps user error on my part.

Could be you have the open pattern String Thing on a dense pattern racquet? Or vice versa?

I prefer to keep my strings straight as I go.

Irvin, I also straighten as I go but if the String Thing works as in their promotional video I think it would be an awesome tool. I spend a lot of time making sure my finished product looks its best.

I use it, it's awesome. Totally worth $20 IMO.

been using it when after a string job as well as after a hitting session.

really helps strings settle at the right place in the first 24 hours after a string job.

I hears it didn't work well from crosses and with poly in general.
