String type and tension is just as important as racquet choice, so if you're not satisfied with your racquet, you should try different strings and tensions. Switching racquets constantly and using the wrong string and tension in each won't solve anything. Before changing racquets, try 17 gauge Babolat gut. Yes, it's expensive. Yes, it will not last forever. But, guess what? It can make a "bad" racquet play great sometimes. I've had racquets that I wouldn't even consider using with Prince Duraflex 16 play like a dream with gut. It's amusing that people spend oodles of cash and time on racquets but use junk string in them. I will grant that some people actually like strings like Prince Duraflex and Wilson Sensation. Some people even like kevlar, which I certainly don't understand, but everyone should try natural gut before giving up a racquet.
