I'm new at stringing, just got a Klippermate, and have strung two family racquets for practice. Everything went okay, now I want to string my regular racquet. I'd like to do it in two pieces, but TW originally did it with one, so I don't have a good model. Maybe it's just that I'm a novice, but I can't make sense of Tecnifibre's instructions:

When he starts off the crosses, where does it tie off to? One of the adjacent grommets? Also not sure why it says to tie off the right crosses twice--is this a typo?

    Thanks for any help!

i didnt look at the link you posted but for 2 piece, start at the head, not throat. you can use a starting knot or if you have starting clamp you can start crosses that way as well. search for YuLite on youtube he's a huge resource.

the crosses would tie off around the head at about 6H or so. so let's say you start crosses at 7 or 8H, the tie off would be 1 or 2 over.

Looks like they are counting their grommet holes from the top down for one thing.

It appears as though they don't use a starting knot but a starting clamp to start the crosses. Then tie off at 6 (6h.) Yes they did make a mistake tie off both mains at 29 (7t.)
