I'm going to my first professional tennis event next week in Indian Wells. I'm excited to see the pros play, but I'm also interested in seeing how stringing is done at a pro event. I'm the head stringer at my university, so I'm interested in seeing how my stringing is compared to a professional. Is there a stringing room/area that the public has access to and can watch the racquets be strung?

Hmm, I'd like to know this as well.

I've been to this tournament several times but never seen the stringing area.

But be sure to visit the TW tent. They even have a court where you can demo racquets. It's a lot of fun.

The stringing service is in the trailer that is parked by the west gate...

Stringing area(s) are probably not open to the general public. Having said that, you could ask any of the tournament officials or their info desk if it was possible to view the stringers at work. If you were a bold personality, ask one of the stringers (if you could identify them) if it were possible. Worse answer you'll get is No.

The stringing trailer is in a restricted nonpublic area.
