i just got this raquet and i saw that there was no holes on the outside of the top of the raquet. There is no holes for the strings to come out of on the guard on the top of the outside of the raquet. is this normal?

As I understand it, there are no grommet holes in the bumper guard portion of the grommet strip.

    If this is the case,

I would make arrangements with the place you bought the racquet to exchange it. This is a case of poor Quality Control.

If you aren't able to fix the problem through the dealer, you might want to call Babolat directly.

If all else fails, you could buy a replacement grommet set and install them.

It would be interesting to see a picture of this. Hope this helps

Ha, Ha! That's a good one! Actually, the MP model has a snap-on bumper guard on top. Just grab it in your hand and pull it off, you'll see the string and grommets underneath...

Thank you Brent Pederson, that is a good one!

Since this being the case, please disregard my initial reply.

I will look at one next chance I get. I play older pure controls which do not have this cover. Sounds like a good idea, does it work well?
