I have always just trusted the stringer where I play when it comes to which string to use and don't know athing about them. He usually used something like Prince synthetic gut or topspin and they were fine.

But...I am about to order 2 new racquets and am looking for suggestions as to string type. Right now I would say I am hovering around 3.5 if that helps.

    Thanks,

Have u been happy w syn gut? What characteristics are you looking for in a string? Flat/topspin? String breaker? Elbow/shoulder problems?

If you never broke a string, try a decent multifilament. Depending on your price range, X-1 Biphase is good, as well as NXT. There are some cheaper multis out there as well. Multifilaments will be softer on the arm and shoulder as well. If you can, try gut. It will be the best and will last forever! All depends on your budget.
