I just bought a couple and am a certified stringer but the string pattern in the Digest and on TW says "Shared Holes: 7T,9T,7H,8H, " but this just does not seem right at all... Anyone know about this? Is the string pattern for an older model or is it just that weird?? Thanks, James

    James,

I own a PBB and have a customer with one. The pattern you site is indeed the pattern to use. It seems odd and even looks a little odd at first because the final main string ends up at an angle.

Follow the pattern, it is correct. The racquets are sweet hitting sticks, especially with gut.

    Enjoy!

It is correct. I've strung my own PBBs a total of five times and will soon string another. THe last main on each side is intended to fan out a little. Another poster recently got his racquet back from a retail string job with those mains strung straight, with no ill effects. Even so, I recommend sticking with the prescribed pattern.
