Does spray painting a stencil do anything bad to strings instead of using stencil ink?
mmmm....it may stick some strings....as if you put glue....
maybe it could work nice as a string saver
that's what I've noticed...they are a bit stickier than usual, and seems to have given the string surface a rougher texture, guess we'll see what happens. I'm playing tonight, so I'll let you know if I notice anything. BTW the string setup is poly mains/nat gut crosses @46 lbs.
You spray painted Nat. Gut.! good luck to you mate
Who are you, Johnny McEnroe...playing with that tension?
not quite...I do like to S & V though
why, what's so bad about doing that?
Nothing wrong with spray painting stencils (including gut). That's how we did it 20 yrs ago. In fact I think the spray paint stayed on my strings longer than the ink blotter.
i used to hav a pink spray paint on gamma syngut wearguard and tennis tech kevlar or summin and put the bow brand circle on boottom right it last longer and has a nice feel p.s dnt hit the ball at the bottom right
Oh alright i didn't know that. Sorry then, i was wrong hope you accept my apology
I played for 2 hrs. tonight and the spray painted stencil still looks great. I think my stencil ink days are gone...just a tip though, do the spray painting outside 'cause it kinda stinks.
