Strings for a beginner

    Try Forten Nylon it's a great string for people just beginning to play tennis and its really cheap (only $15 for a 660 ft reel) with the reel you can string up a racket about 18-20 times.

    Strung the PPA 17 at 58 for him a couple of days ago, he went out to the court today. He wanted a string strung for more control than power but then complained that the sweet spot felt smaller than his previous pre-strung string. I told him that it was most likely because the strings that were pre-strung were probably dead.

    Multi's shouldn't feel less powerful than pre-strung crap string, should they?

    I tell people who want it to 'feel like the prestrung' to just let it sit in the closet for 6 months before you play.
    Maybe you should have gone with the Forten nylon after all.:twisted:
