Anyone have any recommendations for non-poly strings with comparable spin potential to cyclone and at a similar price? I looked at dunlop hexy fiber how does that compare to a shaped poly like cyclone? I do not break strings so durability is not an issue. I would like the increase in a power that a multi will provide compared to a poly. Also, I usually string cyclone 17 at 60lbs and am also going to try to get it strung at 55 for the beginning of this season to see if i like it more. Never had arm problems at 60 just would like a little more power.

I don't think a multifilament string exists that provides the same spin potential as a shaped poly. Head RIP Control and Dunlop Hexy Fiber have the most spin of all the multis I've tried.

Thanks that's what I thought, how would you rate the dunlop hexy fiber in the power range compared to a shaped poly? If I try hexy fiber I would probably end up stringing it around 63 lbs. I know higher tension increases control but does it also increase spin potential?

It is lower powered for a multi but will still have more pop than a poly string. I doubt it will last long at all if you string over 60 pounds unless you hit flat. As for spin potential, I'll let others chime in with regards to tension.
