Anyone know the date of the pic. B&W aside she appears more fit. I'd like to see her back soon.

Nah, Jen won't even let herself eat fries during the season. Excellent dieting and strong exercise routines are no match for good genes on your side.

You don't believe in dieting do you?

Kid, I've flown from one side of this country to another, I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen anything to make me believe there's this all powerful diet controling everyone's weight. There's no diet controls my destiny.

How long did it take for you to paste them all.

As for Jen, there are going to be peeps everywhere who will continue to bash her...all because of her weight.

The title "stunning" just doesn't apply to a huge majority of us. Capriati is a good tennis player, that's all. I think she'd hardly be mentioned in any "Who's the most attractive female tennis pro" discussion or the likes of it. Still good to know Capriati has her fans =)

If all men wanted their women to all be Britina Lohanhiltonovas, the population would die off pretty quickly. And people wonder why so many insecure women and girls think they're supposed to be rail thin with huge breasts, while many of their male counterparts are fat, hairy and balding? It's no wonder so many girls and women get eating disorders and get plastic surgery to have the "perfect look."

Point is, whether you like her looks or not, Capriati should not have to get breast implants, liposuction, face lifts etc to be "doable." Heck, Capriati looks like any normal woman you'd bump into the street, while very few of us are "blessed" to be born with Anna or Maria's looks.

Anyway, I think she looks great. Some examples....

    No kidding!

It's pretty sad that you guys have to bash a 3 time Grand Slam Champion about her weight. A couple of people said absolute crap like "she's not doable". Well guess what, friends, even if, in your eyes she were, she'd most definitely never do you. It's not as if she's chronically obese...

    Grow up, you *****s...

Have to agree that some of these comments are inane. Every once in awhile you'll see a thread saying Davenport is fat or out of shape and then you have to wonder, have these guys ever seen her in person ? Guess what, she's cut and in great shape. Same for Capriati, get on the court with her for 30 minutes and then see if you still think she's fat....

exactly, the fact that she is 3 times grand slam champion is something
that makes her attractive to certain people, as at the end of the day any rational tennis player on this forum wouldnt mind waking up for the rest of his/hers (for arguements sake) life and know that he is going to get a decent hit after work now would they?

I've noticed over the years that people have not let Jen's tennis do the talking, and they always look at the size of her gut and not at what she's done on the court. This is what she's done since 2002, when she started the year noticably "heavier" and not as "fit" as she had been the year before.

-2002 Australian Open finals: "Fat and out of shape" and wins the final in blistering heat, outlasting the "thinner and fitter" Martina Hingis.
2002: "Fat" Jen wins marathon match against Monica Seles in Miami.
2003: "Fat and out of shape" Jen loses a 3 hour 3 setter to JHH, but appears in perfect health afterwards. Meanwhile, "fit" Justine is limping around and put on IV's afterward (either that or she was trying to win a Best Actress Oscar)
2004: at the French Open, J-Cap wins 3 3-setters ON CLAY and gets to the SF's before having a brain cramp against Myskina.
USO: wins 3 3-setters, and before the match with Serena, is called out of shape by Tracy Austin. During the match, Jen runs down ball after ball after ball after ball after ball, showing tremendous speed and defense. Then she loses in the SF's, but plays unbelievably hard in the final two sets, continually playing very long rallies in the the final set.

Also, Cappy uses a midsize, 12+ ounce, tightly strung racquet that many a man would have difficulty playing with for more than one set. Some people always seem to think that any elite athlete should have no problem getting a flat stomach and a perfect body, but it's just not true. In order to play the kind of tennis she has played over the years, she had to be in good shape. She hasn't shown inferior fitness to the other players the last 5 years, so I don't get the criticism from commentatoes and some fans.

I also find it kind of ironic that when Jen has run out of gas late in a tournament, it's cause she must have not been fit, but when Davenport had no energy at the end of this year's AO final, it was cause she had played doubles. I also find it weird, that people claim Jen should be "fit" enough to play a zillion 3 setters in one event, but when players like Canas do that, they must be doping. Make up your minds people!

Jenny, the reason not every man has a woman like Anna Kournikova is because they can't get women like that, not because they don't prefer women like that.

    Meg,
You took a fair bit of flack from certain parties regarding your physical condition and I recall you mentioning, rightly, how unhealthy it was for people to fixate on that. So, why encourage others to do the same thing to Capriati? Surely she deserves the same consideration you were asking for?

    NICE!
    HOW 'MTV' OF YOU ALL!!
Btw, care to post a pix of yourselves? Well? ....

In the recent (and fun) "YOUR PHOTO" thread (no offense to anyone who contributed there--this is just to make a point), there were a number of good-spirited posters who contributed wonderful photos which gave us a glimpse of what they looked like, where they were from and where they played tennis, what they wore, what they drove, what racquet(s) they used, and "snippets" of how they hit. And (again no offense, just to make a point), as neat as those photos were, there wasn't imho, ONE photo (male or female) that would suggest that THAT same person could walk into a room (bar, club, etc.) with their eyes staring straight ahead and know...KNOW that others (male or female) on the periphery were staring at them, i.e. "feeling" their stares...knowing they were being stared at. Now you want to tell me that you three experience that FIRST HAND??.... and on a regular basis to boot, all you "doable" pretty little things??

Meg (consider this delivered to you not as a flame but in an "older brother-arm around you" sense): "Virtual 'high-five'?" As someone who had the sense(itivity) to "read" outside of myself and observe/learn from an early age that it's usually women-who-read-women (as opposed to guys who think that it's them that women FIRST check out when "arriving"), I'd think that (even at your age), you'd have developed more sympatico in your soul by now, as it would relate to your fraternal/distaff (sista) bretheren.

I genuinely like you Megster (in spite of some of your "Mirror, mirror on the wall-who's the fairest Meg of them all?" chirping ;-) ) -- and in this case, I'm only calling you (nudging you) on your "virtual high-five!" as a cyber-friend. Look, I was no better whan I was your age; quite the contrary. I could be a superficial jerk would would take advantage of "looks" when I was young for no other reason than I could more than get away with it, i.e. I could become a "superficial mercenary" when I wanted to get over on some pretty young thang. I was a conceited jerk in that regard and yet: really...just who the hell was I? I didn't deserve squat! I had good-looking parents, period....whose conceited, jerk of a son covered up some hidden insecurities (that we all have/had as teenagers) with a laid-back, haughty 'tude of "yeah....sweetheart....you don't need to tell me.." And then, I'd meet a fellow guy who for no other reason than he had mature goodness in his heart, who would pro-offer a genuine, heartfelt compliment and I'd feel (if not embarrassed), then slightly awkward. Not out of self-consciousness...but out of knowing that it was really BIG of that person to say something nice simply because they were "big" people who had "big" (good) hearts. But more to the point: it would've been easy for me to hear a compliment and then return one--but what if I were the "ugly duckling" in a same kind of scenario? Would I have been BIG enough as a person to give a HEARTFELF compliment to some good-looking dude? That's what put them a cut above me...not looks.

Sorry for the rambling, but THAT superficial crap sticks in my craw because I've seen too many people FOR NO GOOD REASON made to feel bad about themselves simply because of the way their looks "developed" after slip-sliding outta their mama's wombs. It was no sweat off my back at the time, and I could more than get away with it...but as it turned out, as pretty a package as what may've been, there apparently was a lot of me on the inside that wasn't "doable." And today, I'm not ashamed to admit that. But enough of that--today, I can admit that I am still full o' myself---(puke!) LOL!!!

Jenny S, littleleyton, Tennis D, Dreadeye, Andrew D: you're impressive people.

Well Dedans, I genuinely like you too because you always know how to truthfully say whats on your mind with the utmost taste. I understand what you're saying, and I agree that it's more than evident that I'm quite content with how I look - and I work hard for it. But my feelings on Ms Capriati are just that, while she IS an once accomplished tennis player, she's been lacking in stellar performances as of late. Yeah, she's injured and whatnot but everything having to do with her has just faded, faded, faded. She's definitely been in better shape - that's all.

to me the issue is not with what capriati looks like or what her dress size is but that she wears skin tight outfits that show off her gut and big butt. it's like she goes to Serena to get tips on dressing.

Actually youre wrong there... Her genes are a advantage... If she was dedicated to being in great shape she would be in better shape than players who dont have to work as hard to look good...

Also because of her "genes" she is naturally a built girl who will have a power advantage against "skinny" girls. The key is to be in shape though...
