Its like over 3 quid for a 6inch sub and the only decent sub is the meatball one. Anyone else agree?

Which is like $0.25 less than most of them used to be...five dollar footlongs is a gimmick.

Oven roasted chicken breast with honey mustard and swiss cheese is good. Other than that, they don't put near enough meat on it to make it worth the money.

The chicken teriyaki is good. Haven't eaten there for around two years though.

£3.99 for any footlong (Pizzaria or BMT are my faves) plus a medium drink here!

Try this sub, its actually perfect, you may doubt it at first, but try it and you will see the light.

Italian bread, Italian BMT with cheese, not toasted (cold). Lettuce tomato and cucumber with mayo.

Subway used to sell the footlong Garden Veggie subs for under $3... not sure how much they are currently.

I thought the meatball one was one of the crappier sandwiches  either way, I go to Quiznoes more anyway.

Subway is the cheapest sub joint I've seen. Quality isn't the best but you get what you pay for.

I never liked subway. We got some local Korean guy that turned his basement into sub shop like 25 years ago. One of his family members runs the joint now. I think his Italian cold cuts are 6.25 and they taste 100 times better than that subway junk.

I think the last time I ate at subway was about 2 years ago and even then it was only because I was out voted by the people I was with.

Subway is the worst sub place. Quizno's is probably the best. Subway just doesn't have it terms of quality. Quizno's has better bread, more meat, etc. Much better.

We always called it "Slimeway". Not a fresh ingredient in those joints.

Subway - before it was a huge international chain - was fantastic. They didn't have all the pre-portioned deli crap that they do now. They've really gone downhill, unfortunately.

For cold subs, Jersey Mike's isn't bad. For hot subs (grinders), the local pizza place is my choice.

Quiznos is better but it's also much more expensive here. I think Which Wich or Firehouse have the best tasting subs.

At Subway I like the Italian BMT sub on italian herb and cheese bread. I haven't been to Subway in a while, it seems like the footlong subs are smaller now for some reason.

I ordered the wrong sub and ended up paying $11 including drink and chips. I could have gone to a real bistro for that.

Quiznos and Firehouse Subs are so much better. They put more meat and their subs actually taste good.

Average foot long sub costs $2 in food costs (even steak) and the avg 6" is $1. They sell them for $5, $6, $8. Small bags of Chips are about $0.35 and drinks cost even less. There's a reason Subway is all over the place and it's because the profits are killer.

If you don't believe the food costs are that low, just ask the manager or owner for a book that details how much the costs of a sub are to the store. Of course there is labor (minimum wage), rent, and power, but still, they make a ton of money if situated in the right place.

Expecting quality sandwiches at Subway is the real joke. You eat at Subway for the price and convenience.

Quizno's also has subs that break the 100 fat gram barrier, plus huge calories. Just saying.

I am actually a pretty big subway fan, eat there about 3 times a week easy. I also like Jimmy Johns really well. Quizno's isn't very good IMO. Bread is too hard and the prices are way too high along with the fat and calories. If you are eatin at quizno's you might as well just go to McDonalds as far as nutrition goes.

Subway's claim to "fame" is recently baked bread in the store, not their meat/toppings.

When Quiznos took the Smokehouse Beef Brisket of the menu I died inside. Prime Rib and Peppercorn is still darn good. Haven't been there since the Brisket died though.

If any of you go to the Chicagoland area, look for a Portillo's. Best Italian beef ever.

I actually went to Subway today for the first time in months, I bought two foot longs. I haven't been to Quiznos in over a year, they have good subs but they are pricier compared to Subway. They don't use mayo in there subs and the meat has a different taste and texture.

If you get the double meatball marinara, ask for extra marinara sauce, ask for mayo, and get all of the ingredients added to your sub that you can

That'll be almost 2000 calories in one sandwich

    Enjoy

Nope, it's actually 11 inches. A friend of mine was gonna have one for lunch one time and I was really bored so we measured it with a ruler...
