Just wondering if anyone has heard of or used this string. (basic syn 16g and another with "Hex" in the string name). Also, is there a shelf life for string? I think what I'm looking at is 4 or 5 years old. Do you think it would still be ok?

It's ok if you get a ridiculous price for it. I am still using string that is at least 7 years old (got a good deal on some old stock Gosen and Prince and Gamma), and it is fine. It doesn't break earlier than fresh string. Some people more sensitive than me might complain about the playing characteristics, but I can't tell the difference.

Sufix made a decent string, the help was a bit of a pain to string, but I have one player who is still using some that dates from 1999=2000 as I recall. If a synthetic string is stored away from high heat & UV rays they seem to last a fairly long time.
