It's Ray Nagin's revenge.
Only in N.O lol
love it! LOL! Maybe hell trap the entire NO police force underground as well.
Stole this for my Facebook thanks!
Nope. I thought it myself, but then I visited twitter and found out that 5 million people had the same thought as I did.
Crabtree scores. 28-13 Ravens.
If SF's defense can show up, we might have a game.
Was that the worst punt in history? Haha. All the hang time in the world, it just didn't go anywhere. LOL.
Awwww yea we got a game!
The power outage totally changed the momentum of the game. Sort of like the mysterious injury time out in tennis.
If the Ravens end up losing, they were robbed.
We look like a third world country. Ridiculous.
New Orleans Superdome = Wimbledon?
Baltimore Ravens = Andy Murray?
San Francisco 49ers = Roger Federer?
28-23 Ravens. 49ers making a furious comeback.
Nice "roughing" the kicker call. What a joke.
Getting the feeling the 49ers are the team of destiny?
See 35 minute power outage for details.
Well, Federer unleashed the beast within during the end of the second set and took Murray down hard to make it an even match with the roof still open. In comparison, the 49ers played like mugs in the first half.
Damn! That's a stiff arm!
I'm simplifying things for the sake of humor.
If anything, that backhand drop volley on set point was so beautiful, it made the heavens cry (hence the rain, hehe).
I understand. Sorry. I was just being an overly-technical clown.
Good goal line defense by 49ers. Ravens settle for FG.
Saw that coming immediately after I saw the blitz
4 minutes to go.
We'd be ahead if it wasn't for that kick return... Ugh. Come on guys, let's score and take it!
I was about to leave for a movie in the 2nd half, man that would have been bad.
Whatever the outcome will be, this has been a very enjoyable Super Bowl game.
Kaepernick throws bullets!
Let kap run this in!
2nd and goal at the Ravens 5yd line. 2 minutes to go. 5yds away from taking the lead.....
Time for a power outage!
Not going to happen, those electrical engineers are Niners fans.
Called rollout run common!
The catch part 4?
HOLDING! this is unbelievable. 22 was clearly grabbing crabs jersey.
That was a hold!
Looks like the Ravens will hold on. There might be a chance we get the ball back on a punt....
Not really a hold IMHO. Marginal at best. You could call holding on every play if you wanted to.
Now, if you want to talk about a team getting screwed on a call, let's talk Miami/OSU in 2002.
DB has a right to be in that space. Nice piece of DB work. Pushed it about as far as he could without drawing a flag.
Niner's fans can't complain. They got almost every break in this game. Including the Godsend 35 minutes power outage which was the only reason the game was even close IMHO.
ONly 4 seconds left. It's over !!!!!!!!!!
Great, now I get to hear about what a great and inspiring guy ray ray is for the next week.
Congrats Ravens.... I feel dirty saying that.
So close, San Fran. Came back from 22 down, but still lost.
If you can't get it done 1st and goal for the bowl , it's not your time.
Jesus,The game is better than last year. Love it. Baltimore won.
Terrible non-call on tackling Crabtree in the end zone...the defender clearly had both hands on him while the ball was in the air. Bring back the replacement crews if the regular crew can't grab for the yellow flag on an obvious foul like that.
Kap is for real but I think there were better plays to run down there. I really think they should've let him run.
Flacco still not elite.
Flacco played great. You are high on drugs.
Kap played better than I though he would. I think the power outage allowed him to regain his composure which he had lost. Only a matter of time before he is seriously injured. Running QB's don't last long in the NFL.
Flacco had a solid postseason. He made good throws, smart decisions, and made up for the lack of running game they had. He's not the funnest QB to follow, but he played flawlessly these playoffs.
Cunningham, Elway, Steve Young lasted quite a while. At least in their cases they evolved to using their arm as they got older.
I understand not making a lot of calls to not influence the game.
In this case the non call wasn't justified, it could have very well determined the winner.
Cunningham broke his leg, bad example.
Would not consider Elway primarily as a running QB myself although he had the ability to do so. His passing yards to running yards ratio is about 51 to 3. Primarily a passer but could run and is about 6th all time (but played a lot of games.)
Tarkenton lasted a long while but again, not build like Kap. Kap is built more like Cunningham, hence my concern.
Young, another matter. He ran as much or more than Kap. Lower center of gravity and more of a FB players build than Kap.
Vick, can run around forever but more of a RB build.
Bobby Douglas and Tebow would seem to be the consummate running QB's because they are built like tanks. Colin Klein is like that too.
Kap has those long legs, I see him getting hit and one of those long legs snapping like a twig especially once the other teams start gunning for him. Hope I am wrong. He played well tonight. Flacco was a little better.
I live around SF so I will enjoy all the bellyaching about one play. Funny for a team that got every break imaginable in that game. Did you not see the power outage and the phantom roughing the FG kicker aka a belly flop. No crying in football.
Ex Giant Phil Simms is an moron "Great Non Call"??? Yikes!!!. I am sure he would have felt the same is he was throwing that pass. What an NHL drone he is. How could you not make that call in the Super Bowl with the game in the line. Could have decided the game. The great Ray Lewis is a non factor and a felon... go NFL. What a joke.
Beyonce blew my fuse, too.
Worst Super Bowl Half Time of all time. Total Crap. She was missing her stripper pole.
At least when she was playing there was electricity in the air.
No singing of note. Mostly her "pole dancing" Her usual act... Made me miss the Black Eyed Peas.
The whole offseason for the Niners will be spent dissecting how and why they couldn't get five yards on four downs when it really mattered. First of all, being that close in doesn't fit in in with Kap's elusiveness...the better fit for his skillset is from the 15-yard line or so, where the back boundary doesn't become a "12th defender". Still, with that gun of an arm he possesses, the play that needed to be called was some kind of slant over the middle, maybe starting with a stacked set of receivers that would have created a phantom pick. He shouldn't have been rolling out of the pocket or throwing a fade and hoping for the flag that should have been thrown. A full season of him as the starter will let them solve that mini-riddle. They'll be back to the Bowl real soon. Let's hope Harbaugh figures it out next time!
As one astute observer noted they would possibly have been better served by taking the delay of game at the end instead of a timeout, Kap would have had more field to work with but hindsight is 20/20:?
The team had no good plays to use at the end. It was too conservative and the Ravens didn't even need to worry about Kaepernick scrambling to score. I would have tried at least one QB run during 2nd or 3rd down since it was 4 down territory anyway.
As a Niners fan, I'm really worried about the Seahawks. The Saints will get better next year, but like the Packers their defense is loose. The Falcons came close to winning the title game. Vikings and Redskins are hit-or-miss. Giants always give the Niners problems.
