I need to move to Norcal or the Pac NW so I can see Russell Wilson battle Kaepernick twice or more each season! Barring injuries, this could be the best rivalry in sport for the next decade. I'm really high on both these guys and the excitement they could bring to the entire league.

Would have been funny if the power outage happened in the middle of Beyonce's performance
Sad SB ....I was rooting for the 49ers.

What other city could host the most bizarre Super Bowl ever???

Twelve hours later, I'm still looking for the yellow hankie not thrown on the most pivotal play in a game with more twists and turns than any rollercoaster I've ever ridden!

Did John Harbaugh thank the referees for missing the hold/pass interference call on that last play by the 49ers near the end of the game? He should have!!! (Yeah I wanted S.F. to win)
BTW am I the only person who was amused by the power outtage? IMO that was the best part! Stringertom, your comment about replacement refs-I think my brother said it best: it seems only right that a season that started with a questionable call (the Green Bay Packers/Seattle Seahawks touchdown controversy) would end with one.

These Ravens have f***** up my post season. First they take out my Patriots, now they beat the 49ers. Damn it.

That last pass might have been too high anyways, as it sailed over Crab's outstretched arms, and Crab wasn't close to being able to keep both feet IN as he landed.
Pass interference is not called on "uncatchable" throws, but holding beyond 5 yards of scrimmage is a different story....but WHO ran into who?

^Exactly which is why it was a marginal call. Refs could call holding on every play. It would ruin the game if they did.

The Niners got tons of breaks in that game. Their fans should quit crying already. The breaks of the game.

When the lights went out, the first thing I said (half jokingly) to the folks I was watching the game with was "Probably hackers in the Silicon Valley trying to change the momentum of the game."

As it turns out, a group of hackers is claiming responsibility for the outage. If true, it certainly worked because the 35 minute delay completely changed the game. I think Baltimore would have blown out the Niners if not for the delay.

It was funny to listen to all the crying around here today. The SF area is definitely Whine Country. :)

Important fact: Joe Flacco is still not an elite QB.

Really bothered me that VernonDavis didn't corral that would be TD pass, or at least make a diving or leaping attempt. He just kept running fast, not sacrificing his body to make a supreme effort to snag the pass.
As it was, he got both hands on the backhalf of the ball, a tough catch for sure, but paid as he is, ego he has, shouldn't he have jumped or dived?
I hated the play calling on the final drive of the 49'ers. Those floaty wide passes to the corner of the endzone can only be caught by the tall recievers or the guys who can jump UP for the ball. 49'ers last guy to qualify was BrandonLloyd of the Patriots.
Crabtree don't jump, but he's getting better at catching.
Davis don't jump, has hands of stone.
    Manningham is injured.
Jenkins drops too many, even after making the catch.
Moss can't be bothered to make an effort to catch the ball, he can catch ball thrown perfectly to him.
Ginn would be a Duiper/Clayton clone, but he doesn't get very many chances, and if he misses one, it's benchtime.
Walker makes the effort, but recent history of soooo many drops has him blocking only.
    KyleWilliams is hurt.
No passes targeted to the running backs.

He's good but, I don't think he's a 20mil/year, carry the team on your back, take over the game good.

Not to say he won't get that contract because I think he will but, I also think it will be a mistake.

LOL...he goes 4-0 in the playoffs, beating two HOF QBs in a row, throws 11 TD passes (NFL record) and zero picks. All this, while absorbing a new offensive coordinator's scheme in two months. He's earned every dollar he'll get in a new contract.

The last few Superbowls have been great. Just be grateful it wasn't like the 2102 World Series which was beyond boring.

But did he throw for 300 yards or 4 TD in the Super Bowl? Didn't think so ;)

Honestly though, he's a good QB, I just don't like his personality that much, he seems to cocky. He deserves his money now though, so good for him!
