Swappable Head Pallets on new MG rackets?

I just tried to get my local shop, which seem to know less about rackets than I do, to order me some head grip pallets. I need one for a MG Prestige Mid, and a couple for other older rackets.

They swear up and down that you cannot take the pallet off the new MG rackets? Did Head stop using this system on their rackets? When I think about it, the "oldest' head racket I've ever swapped the pallet on is a iPrestige Mid.

BTW, anyone got any 4 3/8 Head pallets to sell or swap for 4 1/2s?

Yes, it's still possible to swap pallets. I have my 4 3/8 grips changed to 4 1/2.

Where would you normally purchase Head grip pallets? Does TW sell them?

Head does not sell pallets in the U.S. You will have to go to one of the racquet customizers. I know **** will sell and change pallets for you. They will not sell the pallets directly to you. You can go or ship your Head racquet to **** and they will take your Head racquet and put what ever size pallet you need.

Yeah, I learned they won't sell them outright, which kinda sucks as I'm on the west coast and more than capable of doing it myself. I don't see myself going to NY anytime soon either.

Do you know what they charge for this service?

I called them the other day and was quoted $40 each + shipping

Shipping there and back, plus $40. I think I'm better off combing the goodwills for rackets I can strip the pallets off. Or, getting a good deal on a racket the with the size a need, swapping it, and selling it again for near or what I paid for it.
