i have been playing basically all my life with a leather grip only.

never been a fan of putting on an overgrip on top which is why i use the TW leather grip 1.3mm (to keep the grip size the same).

should i consider switching to the babolat skin feel as my primary grip?

What do you want from a synthetic grip?

Take into account the change in weight. I have just done something similar and dropped 10g.

Look at ChicagoJacks grip thread and you'll be able to work out how the switch will affect you. And remember, a synthetic grip will compress slightly, even the thin ones,

Skin Feel and Prince ResiThin are about the thinnest at c.1.4mm, so should be what youre looking for. Best thing to do is perhaps just give them a go and see what you think.

I can only comment on the skinfeel. It's very thin of course and for me just doesn't offer enough cushion. I have to put an over grip on it.
