Taking balls into the plane

    ok so i am goin to the u.s open in about a week, and i was wondering if i cood take tennis balls into the plane as a carry-on...(i wanna use the balls to get autographs, or iz getting the big huge ball better) and if i am allowed to take them on the regular balls or the big ones,,,wont they like pop or something inside the plane cuz they are pressurized????? i dont know,.someone plzzzz help??!?!!!

    no. you may have trouble with security letting you carry them on along with a purse, or what not.

    They make medium-sized autograph balls as well as the large ones. Don't use regular balls as they're a pain to sign and are easier to lose.

    One, more convienient idea may be to buy one at the Open and then ship it to yourself from the airport. I'd be more worried about losing it in airport luggage than UPS/FedEx/DHL/USPS losing it.

    There aren't any restrictionon carrying balls as far as I know. As long as they go through the scanner, there shouldn't be any problem.

    They won't pop either, if there was that much pressure difference in the plane, I think the passengers would die before the balls would pop.

    I don' t know about the over size ball. However, the regular size is ok in carry-on bag from my experience. We just came back from Junior (super) national, brining our tennis racquets/ balls back and forth in the airplane. Done this so many time w/ out problem from TSA.
