i have loads of calluses and blisters from playing tennis everyday and have tried every tape at the pharmacy but nothing stays in place when my hand gets a bit sweaty and i keep having to replace every few games which is quite annoying.
does anyone know a tape that stays in place? like nadal uses as i have never seen him have to replace his taping during a match

i use cohesive soft grip tape (but only on fingers)... its this tape that is really soft and it only sticks to itself. once you know how to put the tape on for your specific blister/callous, it is very useful

you can buy it at any convenience store... cvs/walgreens (you should buy the wider one)

I don't know what kind of tapes nadal use but I like johnson & johnson zonas tape. not expensive (less than $1 per a roll which is 10') and good tape. I use 1/2"

I can tell you one thing: since I moved to Europe, I have no issues finding a regular pharmacy tape that sticks for 2 hours of sweaty play...
All of the Walgreens and CVS ones I tried in the US sucked...

I have found that using white electrical tape is the best for this. It will stay on as long as needed. I keep a roll in the bag as I use white overgrips and use it to tape the top of the grip as well.

The black electrical tape is not as good because it usually leaves behind some of the adhesive.

At this stage Nadal probably has very dry hands because he has an OCD handwashing thing going on to match his on-court nuances rather than a pure on-court need.

Evidence? None other than that few other players need to do it - at least anything like that - and most of them play as much as he does. Also that he often has his fingers taped even when he's not playing tennis.

I had some problems with cuts on my fingers and had the same issues.

You have to try this... By far the best. Will not come off unless you cut it off. I bought mine at a large golf retailer. Or, you can buy online if you search Hornungs Golfer's Tape.

What is the material of this tape like? Is it cotton/fabric?

Unique (tourna) brand has a finger tape that has worked for me. It is made of the material that is like the stuff the doctor puts on you after your donate blood. It adheres to itself but doesn't adhere to your finger/skin. It does slip around a bunch when i get sweaty but I use a lot of it to help it stay in place.

One more option you might consider is a softer grip AND changing your grips more often.

It feels like a soft cotton weave, similar to gauze, but a bit thicker.

I looked at the Tourna DOC Finger Tape and they are both very similar, but I believe the Hournung's Golfer's Tape is a bit thicker.

I think that a gauze material is the best approach for the fingers dealing with sweat and flexibility.

I've had to start taping my fingers too over the past few months because of the nasty callouses that I've started to develop. However, I'm having the same problems keeping the tape in place. Can anyone recommend a good brand that can be bought in Europe?

    Lasso, I've been using this:

    http://www.amazon.com/3M-Micropore-...ef=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1308349829&sr=1-2

It stays on pretty well. It's thin, not thick like the golfers tape mentioned above. So you will have to wrap it around a few times or put some cushioning material underneath if you need extra support.

I'm not sure if it's available in Europe but 3M is a big company so there is a good chance it will be.

I've tried cloth tape, athletic tape, and recently have been using bandages.

I have calluses right at the joints and whatever I used would rip after one game. Now I put a bandage on each side of the joint and so far that works better.

Surgical tape also works pretty well if you put enough on. I used that for my toes last week with no problems.

Try solving your callus problem with hot water and a few other items. Gone in a few days. Tons of info out there about it. Worked for me.
