What are your opinions on the string? What would be a nice hybrid with Black Code in the mains?

You may wanna search there are a few in-depth threads on Black Code from 6mo to a year ago. I was playing with in in the Donnay Pro One OS and Head YT Rad Pro until I came across Genesis Black Magic. It's a good poly, softer than the average poly, good tension maintenance, expect to get at least 10 hrs 12-15 hrs tops out of it.

Try hybriding with a good synthetic, ie Gosen or Gamma. A multi such a NRG2 would probably give a little more feel but will decrease the life of stringbed.

I was thinking Black Code 17 and Gosen OG 17 at 60/58 or maybe instead of Gosen, NXT 16.

Black code 17 -- lasted me only 5 - 6 hours of playing strung at 54 to 56 lbs on my old ncode sixone tours before I snapped them. I stopped using them. They seemed to lose a ton of tension after 3 hours.

    They played pretty good though.

Anybody tried Wilson Stamina, Sensation or Technifibre Multifeel in the cross?

BlackCode mains and Xcel Power crosses is sweet, but I prefer Signum Tornado to BlackCode though, which is why I have my 4 Babolat PST GT strung with Tornado mains and Xcel Power crosses :)

I would recomment doing a search on this as there is much good info available if you look for it. That said I'd say BC mains with Addiction crosses or Spiral Flex crosses.

I think I'm going to try it with NXT crosses. What tension do you guys recommend to prevent the Black Code from sawing into the crosses.

I do like BC 17 in the mains with Gosen 17 in the crosses. Even for someone with elbow issues, this isn't too hard on me.

    I just strung mine with BC 17 @ 60 mains, and Prince SG w/D 16 @63 crosses.

I will play with it in a couple of hours....

I´ll tell later how it feels....

51/56 (BC/Gosen). Low end for the racquet.

I hit last night with BC 17 /PSG W/D 16, i just can say for my hitting that this set up is not what I thought it would be.

I did not feel the BC feel , I just didn´t like it ...

i play black code in the mains with a prince syn gut original cross and can usually get 10 playable hours (to keep all the haters off my back, not all of these 10 are crisp playing hours) there is a drop around hour 5 in my opinion but i good setup anyway

bwaid88 has said it pretty well. If I want to I can get 10-12 hours with BC in the mains. However I would not use it for more than one or possibly two actual matches and then would use only for practice for a little longer before cutting it out and starting over.

IMO this is pretty good as there are a # of other poly's I've tried and only been able to stand for about 4-6 hours total.

It's really weird I get crazy vibration from a full job at the 3rd hour mark, and it lasted for a few hours.... then gets back to normal. LOL! Doesn't hut your arm or anythin though. I'm at 9,10 hr and it still plays great!
