what do you tell yourself on the court? i constantly remind myself these things:

    solid footwork (split-steps)
    weight forward (don't lean back)
    racket back early (timing)
eyes on the ball (especially on tags)

Don't try and kill the ball. Grip the racquet nice and easy.

I remind myself to force my opponent to beat me - don't beat myself.

Aim higher over the net. Try and go cross court over the low part of the net when in doubt.

  5. Stay positive. Have fun. The last point is over. Play this one the best you can.

That's a good one. Stay in the moment, not the past.
