Has anybody used this string? How does it play? Does it hurt the arm? What gauge is best to minimize pain?

Ignore Fedace. He's blowing smoke as usual. It's very soft, has excellent feel, control and spin. I would try out the 17g if I were you.

The only problem with Black Code is it's just too expensive! On to Genesis Spin X!!

I know what you mean. I'm trying out Duralast, SPPPP and MSV Focus Hex to see if I can find something that I like that is cheaper

It's nice, softer than Luxilon. decent spin but I prefer Genesis Black Magic. I find it easy to string for a poly. Tension maintenance is good.

  9. What did you like better about the black magic exactly? Just curious.

I agree with ryushen, try 17g its everything he said. But, for less cash you can also try out MSV Hex, just like others have recommended.

I've had the 16g in my Aero Storm Tour for 3 months and hasn't broken yet...I usually go through a set in 1 month even Luxilon BB. I haven't had any arm problems and have it strung at 65 lbs. Spin is better than BB rough and seems to have decent power. I give it 9/10 overall. Try it out!

I have found great success with MSV

Currently play testing a lot of polys but found the 1.18 Hex as great

I liked Black Code quite a bit. It felt good, it had nice power, etc. My biggest complaint was it did not last too long and went it bad, it went bad fast. It seemed to lose tension and feel at a quicker rate than other string that I have used.

    second that

    second that too...

im using it on my pro tour 690 (17g) and it's a great string. great ball bite too... maybe too much since my kick serve is landing short.. too short sometimes!

Yes, Fedace once loved this string but I'm sure has somehow magically gotten his hands on some super exclusive experimental poly that blows everything else away.

I stand by my position on the feel of BC. It retains feel on all shots and gives me everything that I need. I will get back to you once I have tried out MSV Hex.
