    Another great match coming up tonight - we are watching it live online. I think Gabashvili should take this one in straight sets. He has superior tennis skills to Delpotro and is a National Master of Sports.

    If Gabashvili loses to the world number 485, he should retire immediately.

    I mean Delpo ftw.

    Del Potro is going through Gabashvili faster than Grant went through Richmond

    I don’t know what’s wrong with these people. I think half of NY tennis have committed suicide last month because of the snowy winter. Is it just as bad elsewhere in the country and the world?

    WTF does snow have to do with sitting on your ass watching tennis and typing on your laptop? People are just lazy

    PS. WTF IS WITH THESE LIVE COMERCIALS lol... so annoying.

    “Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to draw your attention tonight to Juan Martin Del Potro during the changeovers as he takes in the cool refreshing flavor of Camel Cigarettes. Camel, the brand 9 out of 10 doctors recommend”

    Give them a break. If they committed suicide in January, you cannot hold them to the same foruming activity standard in February.

    Have the last three singles matches started out the same way? One player going up 3-0, then 3-1 to start.
    This match is 15% less entertaining with no Ken Thomas.

    WHAT A POINT. Del Potro hasn't lost a step. Amazing get, then BAM running forehand down the line ala Pistole Petros

    I just tuned in but was looking at LiveScores for the first set - does Polito seem to be closing things out much more slowly?

    ===

    uh oh ... deuce ... teimu's gonna be mad!

    Delpo brought the hammer down. Gabashvili up against a better player today.

    Is Gabashvili just intimidated by the prospect of facing Lacko in the next round? I am struggling for an explanation here.

    don't think so ;) .... you saw how hard he had to play to end up with five games tonight ... he would have liked to play Lacko is my guess.

    did you see the post match interview? when the guy asked delpo whether his wrist was still hurting, he said, "yes." i did see him wincing a couple times, but he was just to strong for gaba tonight, 63 62.

    Lacko was a revelation tonight ... i was expecting Sam's popularity to pull him out of the funk he has seemed to be in for the last few matches ... but no Lacko too much for him tonight, and he looks like he's growing up, gotta little sexy facial hair goin ... don't know about those cherry red shoes, though!!! :shock:

    *sigh* Lleyton will be fighting to win. I hope Polito can close out those points quickly.

    I missed that match, and I think I'm glad -- what happened there?
    (Do I even want to know?)

    is that who he's playing next! :eek: ... well, hewitt had his number on grass at wimby, but I think it w/b different on this surface .... thing is, LH knows how to use delpo's height against him ... but after seeing juan play tonight, he should be able to keep lleyton pinned back behind the baseline ..... rooting for Del there, of course :D

    I didnt really see much of that match. I mean, I had it on, but I was listening to a Clive Cussler book on tape and, inevitably ... dozed off a couple times :oops: ..... funny how quickly I woke up when I noticed delpo walking on court! :p

    ===

    edit: btw, did you notice tommy's still on a hot streak? He beat fognini tonight in brazil ... took 3 sets, but he won .... also looked like his shorts are getting shorter!

    Of course!! :D

    LOL. :lol:

    Back-to-back Fognini wins - I think he had him in the semis in Santiago as well!

    You're the second lady with taste that has mentioned the T-bird's short shorts are getting yet shorter. I must take a closer look. :twisted:

    did you hear delpo mention that he and querrey are teaming up for doubles tomorrow afternoon? that could be a good one but i'm not familiar with their opponents.

    yes the shorts are getting shorter on several of the guys ... honestly it looks a little weird after all these years of the knee-length! ;)

    LG, again, I got a beat ahead of myself -- Polito actually plays Lacko next. If he gets past him and Lleyton wins his match, the two of them will play in 3R.

    :oops:
