Penn balls suxxors the most imo. They lose their bounce after 30 mins. They don't even bounce that high in the first place... :(

No!!! This wasn't meant to be a thread about what balls to use, or what balls are better! This was a thread about the virtues of the Pro Staff 6.0.85 and it's ability to dish out punishment to both ball and opponent alike!

Regardless of the ball, it must be punished.

    Pro Staff 6.0.85

    No mercy.

    =)

Dunlop Grand Prix, take a licking, bounce well, and everyone can HEAR the punishment. They are LOUD! PS 6.0 punishes STRING, keeps you stringing weekly, straightening by the shot.

Dunlop Grand Prix>All I've never found another ball that comes close to it.
Radical maybe you should be a little less vague if you don't want your topics hijacked.
    Consider this one HIJACKED! :D

I'll put it this way: Not even Pete wants to use it anymore... Regarding tennis balls, my vote goes to the Dunlops.

We're dense. We need these subtle tie-ins between topic titles and actual content explained to us in detail, lest we stray from the intended path to righteous discussion. :p

Richie Rich, doesn't your username seem somewhat at odds with the Wal-Mart bag-o-balls philosophy?

Let's go with "Richie Occasionally-on-the-Frugal-Side" as an alternate. ;)

I used some Penns the other day and they went dead after a set. I used the Wilson US Open balls and they were super slow. The main reason being that the balls puffed up too much. I kind of liked the dunlop balls, they even bounced well when i used them again.

OK, so this thread is officially hijacked then.

My original comment came just after smashing a bullet one-handed backhand down the line for an absolute winner - a real smoker. My opponent looked back stunned, as if to seek an explanation.

The only thing I could come up with at the time was...

"Tennis balls are evil and must be punished!"

So what brand of ball were you using when you smashed the bullet? (Don't you just love shots like that?)

And sorry about the hijacking. You're correct and we have quickly (although inadvertently) done so. :(

It was a Slazenger Synthetic Grass ball. I saw a tear come from it's eye as it collapsed on itself upon impact with the Pro Staff!

    No mercy for the ball.

    Radical Shot -

You might prefer the PS 6.0 Original for punishing tennis balls, but in the case of a Global Zombie Apocalypse, I'd reach for something much more substantial. I have a set of PK Black Aces hanging on my wall right next to my crossbow should the occasion ever arise.

    12.60 oz | Swingweight 329 | Wilson Pro Staff 6.0 Original 85

    12.60 oz | Swingweight 377 | Boris Becker 11 Special Edition
    13.00 oz | Swingweight 375 | Donnay Pro Cynetic
13.00 oz | Swingweight 369 | Kneissel White Star Masters
    13.70 oz | Swingweight 365 | Adidas GTX Pro-T
    14.10 oz | Swingweight 396 | ProKennex Black Ace

Hey Chicago Jack. Thanks for the suggestions, however I have reverted back to my namesake and am now using my trusty Head Ti Radicals to mete out the required punishment on those evil tennis balls.

Some nice racquets you have there...
