I'm looking to study abroad in London next fall. I am a sophomore in college and play division 3 tennis, and was looking for either a club or an academy to play at, as well as local courts. If any of you have experience in the London area, I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks!

Plenty of places to play - your best bet is go to the LTA website lta.org.uk and look at the Clubs and the In Your Area tags........find out where you will be staying and find a club nearby - Also join the LTA as a "Non Affiliated Club Member" its like 25 pounds go to the members tag to get the info to join.....since i travel to the UK about every 5 weeks i joined a few yrs back and well worth it.

The reply is right LTA has some great ways to get involved, I am from the UK but actually spend a lot of time in the states, but back in the UK for most of this year and am near London, my level is pretty much the same as Div 3 and me and any of my team mates would be happy to hit with you over at our club when you are here, just send me a private message.

I'm planning on studying at the University of Westminster. Does the London area have a fair number of tournaments during the Fall? Somewhat similar to how the USTA does tournaments, just in the London area? I'm not looking to spend a ton of money just to play at an academy, but rather just to make connections and play a fair amount so that I won't lose my game in the four months that I plan to be in London.
