So I am going to be near DC (actually Silver Springs, MD) for a month (all Feb) and am looking for a people/place to play since I know noone. Have you guys heard about Georgetown Prep Tennis club? Is this a good place to play?

    Any suggestions?

    I'm a 5.0 player played a little college tennis.

Also if you want to play hit me up

I think the College Park Tennis Center should be a little closer. You should call to find out if any juniors players are looking for a hitting partner. They are a USTA training center. There are too many clubs to name in the DC, MD and VA area.

I know nearly all the kids that train there, don't ask to play with them.

I visit DC a couple of times a year and I have found one really good place to go pick up a match, Rose Park in Georgetown at 26th and P streets. You gotta go hit on the backboard a little and if you're any good the regulars will take notice. This is true "urban tennis" lots of characters and diversity there, but if you're at least a 4.5, you shouldn't have any problems getting a hit in.
