If Clarky gets on there, we'll have Rolaids, Djesus and about 20 more for Novak. :)

Fat Dave for Nalby? So mean. :( I think we should call him Crazy Dave instead after the Queen incident.

I thought Vitas Gerulitis was Swedish. Never heard Boris Becker called "Baron von Slam" either. Amelie "MoMo" Mauresmo is also not on the list.

    haha thanks for the laugh.

    There's a few I haven't heard of. Rocket Man(Roddick), Sliderman(Monfils), Poseidon of the Court(Tsonga) hahaha and Tsunami(Tsonga).

Fat Dave is my favorite though.

Guga always seemed to me to be a great nickname. But I gotta say that basketball has better nicknames than tennis and most other sports.

Its Lithuanian. My Lithuanian uncle (not blood, but married my mother's sister) grew up near Vitas in Brooklyn and they were friends when they were kids. He says that the entire Lithuanian community was extremely proud of Vitas.

And Smokin' Jo Willy is a hilariously terrible nickname for Tsonga. Is that for real?

umm...Becker was called Boris Boom Boom Becker because of his big serve.

Boris Bumm Bumm Becker has some gay connotations, if you know what I mean ;)

no it was actually bumm bumm boris first since bumm is german for boom. boom boom becker is what the english speaking commentators made of it.

and its the most fitting nickname ever because it perfectly describes his favorite actions both on and off the court *g*
