    Hello

Haven't been on here in absolutely ages but as I have just recently started blogging my tennis career I thought I would post it on here in case it is of any interest to anyone here.

    http://jacksaunderstennisplayer.blogspot.com/

I'm a pro from the UK - before I get any of that rubbish though, my LTA rating is in fact 9.2 which is awful as I have played very few tournaments in this country - before moving to Spain earlier this year and I have no contact or relation with the LTA whatsoever now as their system is horrendously bad. I am now playing futures tournaments and will endeavour to blog about how I get on - from the double bagels (of which there have been a couple) to hopefully the successes as I aim to get my first ATP point and world ranking over the next few months!

I will be uploading photos, videos etc and happy to answer any questions posted on my blog about my training schedule etc and will keep it updated with what I do etc.

Hope this is of interest to someone and look forward to some feedback etc!

    Cheers
    Jack

Very cool! Another blogger. More the better.

I have a blog of my own, but my journey is far far tougher than yours. You are already a pro working to build up your career, while mine deals with basically starting from scratch at 33 years old and seeing how far I can take my game with the right coaching and training, and with no limitations on myself.

I wish you well man, and hopefully I'll be able to hit with you one day. Keep up the good work.

    Jake

P.S. By the way, what was the final score in your first match?

Good luck in your journey Jack. Your blog is actually interesting, informative, and not delusional as compared to some other blogs recently publicized on this forum.

    LOL.

I agree, great premise for a blog. Video would be a major plus.

Quick update - unfortunately won't be playing Nottingham this weekend for a few different reasons. Means some hardcore training to come though - will be updating my blog with schedules and what I do. :)

    Thanks for the response guys!

Torres - I use the Yonex RDiS 100, 98 sq inch. I have one racket that is modified to be head heavy but purely as a training aid, otherwise there is no extra weight on the racket at the moment and they remain at 315g.

Strings wise I use Pro Kennex IQ Hexa - it's a hexagonal string and my day to day tension is 58m 56x.

    hey jackabee,

what kind of strenth training do you do. i play a lot of tennis and get good cardio out of it, but i want to start doing some weight training to increase my strength. i know i want to build lean muscle, but dont really know what kind of lifting i should do. any tips on how you train with weights would be appreciated. or any links to info that you use.

    thanks

    Jack, awesome blog as usual.

I was watching your footwork videos. So on the backhand going wide, it appears that you are kind of turning to the side before running to the backhand..is this correct? I am having a little trouble getting that exact footwork pattern consistent to where I can get pulled wide and still get my right foot planted correctly in that closed stance.

Please have a read of the article in a recent newspaper - just a bit more about what me and my coach are attempting to do.

New blog on it's way soon too!

    Good luck!

A small suggestion: I would like to see a few more entertaining stories out of your blog. Like gamesmenship during matches, strategies against your biggest nemesis, costs, PED suspicions, overbearing parents...things like that that would spice up your blog a little bit.
