I would like to start a discussion on certain concrete rules on tennis that never change such as: always keep your head up on the serve. always keep your elbow up on the serve (like Sampras). Keep the ball in front of you. Bend with your knees on low volleys instead of your back. Can you add your #1 rule that has worked for you?

You mean tips? I'd say a good tip would be to never serve flat footed which is something I see from a lot of beginners.

For power and consistency on any stroke, you need good shoulder turn.
