Do all tennis academies offer them to talented, top junior players?

Let's say you're number one in [Canada] for your age group [12], would you have a shot at a full scholarship at Sanchez - Casal?

^^^Sanchez-Casal don't do scholarships! You to Emilio's - you pay!

IMG and some others may do though.

    Cheers

I've read that before but I find it hard to believe and I've seen no evidence just anonymous posting. Surely something can always be worked out for a talented junior with results but whose parents have no money. I mean, just the fact of a top junior being there is fantastic, priceless publicity for the tennis outfit.

Well, given the fact that Emilio told me and I've worked with him a bit, so I would take that as more than just anonymous posting with no evidence! Even Andy paid! :D

Okay, do you know why? Is he that cheap or greedy? :) Seems like it's even a financial loss in the long-term.

^^^It's simple, Emilio believes that those who don't pay don't respect the academy and therefore don't do the work! If you pay your way you have a vested interest in working hard to succeed!

A place like IMG does the scholarship thing under the belief that they can develop somebody into a good enough player to then get enforsemnt deals and make money off that player that way. They footed to bill for Sharapova and have represented her ever since.

This Emilio guy probably has no piece of any endorsement pie with any of the players aside from them mentioning they went to his place for training. There is no/little future earning potential for Emilio off the players that have passed though.

Therefore they have have to pay.
